Colorado Avalanche Struggle is Real at Home

The Colorado Avalanche have a startling record at Pepsi Center. After losing the last six games at home. Its pretty clear that the struggle is real.

It’s true the Colorado Avalanche did play a close game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night. They even had the lead at one point but could not hold on. There are some serious problems with this team.

It’s time to establish home ice advantage and stop getting pushed around in front of your own fans. While the Avalanche are better on the road, they have an overall record of 11-18-1. There needs to be some significant changes.

Colorado played one of their better games on Wednesday. They only allowied 25 shots, then had 29 of their own. So it’s not like they were completely over-matched. They also won 57 percent of the faceoffs. So they had the puck, but what they did with it cost them game.

    Colorado needs to have better disclpline because the players are taking way too many penalties especially at home. Its been hard with Erik Johnson out with injury. The defense has shown some weak spots.

    The Avalanche are starting to lose their patience. A season that started out with hope has turned into frustration. The question is, what is going on here? Why can’t we get past this? Are there changes on the horizon?

    Pepsi Center has not been kind to the Avalanche. The players need to play better hockey . The season is drifting away with nothing to show for it. Its time to give the fans the show they were promised.

    The Colorado Avalanche are facing the hated Minnesota Wild tonight. The Avs haven’t had an easy time against this team, and the Wild are coming in red-hot with a seven-game winning streak. Colorado did take the previous two games against Minnesota this season.

    After the away game in Minnesota, the Avalanche host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday. Colorado has lost the ability to win at home but that could change on Thursday as they try to build on their strong efforts.
