It took the Los Angeles Rams nine quarters, but they finally found the end zone.
Three minutes into Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay, Case Keenum hit Brian Quick for a 44-yard touchdown pass, giving the Rams a 6-0 lead and almost matching their total of nine points from their first two games.
Los Angeles lost to the 49ers 28-0 in Week 1 before rebounding for a 9-3 win against the Seahawks last Sunday. Quick was an unlikely source for points given that the fifth-year pro hadn’t scored a TD since 2014.
Jeff Fisher had been joking with his players about their inability to find the end zone in practice this week, and apparently the light-hearted approach helped them get on the board.
