Emmanuel Mudiay to get second workout with Lakers
Things are starting to get interesting in the greater Los Angeles area.
A little over a week ago, Emmanuel Mudiay worked out for the Lakers and declared his admiration for Kobe Bryant. Now, Los Angeles is bringing Mudiay back for a second workout on Thursday, Bill Oram of the Orange County Register reports.
It's probably wise for Lakers fans not to read too much into this. The team is doing their due diligence and research on all the top prospects, and with the way players dictate for which teams they want to work out and when, there's going to be ample time to work out a guy who wants to come back.
But Mudiay would be a solid choice for the Lakers as the top point guard prospect in the draft. It's certainly a point guard-driven league these days, and though Los Angeles has Jordan Clarkson on the roster, the Lakers should take whichever player they feel is the best available.
