Can Kawhi Leonard become a leader in San Antonio's locker room?
The San Antonio Spurs have high expectations this season, but they can only go so far as their best players take them.
There are several starry names on this roster, but that previous comment mostly refers to Kawhi Leonard, the dominant 24-year-old whose game is still improving. But can Leonard take the next step as a leader? Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding offers his thoughts in the video below:
San Antonio still has Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, David West and, um, Gregg Popovich in its locker room. They really don't need Leonard to step outside his comfort zone and claim the Spurs as his to lead.
The team already has so many strong, smart personalities in house, and so long as Leonard has the respect of his teammates and coaches, and continues to destroy opponents on both sides of the ball, his communication skills are the least of San Antonio's concern.
