Thunder clear Kevin Durant to play after foot injury

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Thunder begin training camp next week and they'll begin camp healthy.

At the team's first press conference of the upcoming season, general manager Sam Presti said Kevin Durant is fully cleared and has no restrictions going forward.

"In terms of limitations, he does not have any," Presti said in his meeting with the media.

Oklahoma City begins training camp on Tuesday.

Durant played just 27 games last season after undergoing sugary to repair a Jones Fracture in his right foot. He had bone graft surgery in late March.

He is in the final year of his contract with Oklahoma City.

Presti went on to say he didn't know if Durant's minutes would be affected this season.

"That's something Billy (Donovan) and our medical team will work on," Presti said.

The 27 games were the fewest Durant has played in a season. He has never played less than 66 games in his eight-year career. Durant averaged 25.4 points per game last season.

The Thunder dealt with numerous injuries last season, which ultimately kept them out of the playoffs after going to the Western Conference Finals in 2014. Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka also missed significant time last season.
