FCS players seek to turn heads at Tropical Bowl

(STATS) - FCS-level players are among those participating in the Tropical Bowl on Sunday in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The third annual college all-star game will be played at Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium. Since 2016, over 110 participants have gone on to pro teams.

FCS players named to the American Team, coached by Todd Littlejohn, are running back Eugene Bethea (Southeastern Louisiana), wide receiver Thomas Lucas (Duquesne), offensive linemen Joseph Kuperman (Cal Poly) and Austin Olsen (Southern Illinois), defensive ends Davond Dade (Portland State) and Richard Johnson (Howard), linebacker Deion Pierre (Samford) and safety Christopher Cooper (Stony Brook).

The FCS players on the National Team, coached by Mike Stock, are offensive linemen Timothy Gardner (Alcorn State) and Skyler Prol (Southern); defensive end Anthony Ellis (Charleston Southern); defensive tackles Ke'Tyrus Marks (Samford) and Bishop Woods (Murray State); linebackers Brandon Bryant (Lafayette), Garrett Dolan (Houston Baptist) and James Graves (Central Arkansas); cornerbacks Jamaal Burgess (Bethune-Cookman) and Dexter Reese (Alabama A&M); safeties Bradley Dewberry (Eastern Illinois), George Odum (Central Arkansas) and Kailik Williams (The Citadel); and long safety A.J. Hantak (Eastern Illinois).
