ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) Matt Van Scyoc and Brenton Scott scored 14 points and Khristian Smith added 13 to lead Indiana to a 70-61 win over Norfolk State at the Paradise Jam on Friday night.

Van Scyoc had 10 points in the second half for the Sycamores (2-1), who made 10 of 24 3-pointers to offset an 11-point deficit at the foul line.

Charles Oliver had 16 points and D'Shon Taylor 11 for the Spartans (1-2), who went 23 of 31 at the foul line but made just two of nine from the arc.

Indiana State scored the last six points of the first half, taking a 31-26 lead when Brenton Scott hit a 3-pointer. Norfolk State got within 3 with about 7 minutes left in the game but free-throw shooting and two 3-pointers from Scott were enough for the Sycamores.
