Cavaliers rookie Andrew Wiggins has yet to play an NBA game, but that apparently won't keeping the kid from making a splash.
That's because Wiggins has agreed to a shoe and apparel contract with Adidas, a source told FOX Sports Ohio on Wednesday night. Wiggins was the No. 1 overall pick in the June draft.
The deal with Adidas is said to be in the $12-$13 million range, according to Yahoo Sports -- which would make it the largest shoe contract given to a rookie in Adidas history.
Adidas is expected to announce the deal with Wiggins on Wednesday. Wiggins is currently in Las Vegas practicing with the Cavs' summer-league team. The Cavs open summer play Friday against the Bucks, in a matchup that will pit Wiggins against No. 2 overall draft pick Jabari Parker.
Wiggins, 19, is a 6-foot-8 guard/forward who played one season of college basketball at Kansas University. Kansas sports Adidas apparel.
