Texans CB Johnathan Joseph once again haunts his former team

With his interception in Monday night's win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph not only helped his team keep the Bengals out of the end zone for the first time all season, he also continued an impressive personal streak against his former team.

Joseph's third-quarter interception of Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was a key part of a Houston defensive effort that limited Dalton to just 197 yards passing. It was also Joseph's fourth in pick in as many games against Cincinnati.

The 10-year veteran was a first-round pick by the Bengals in 2007 and spent five seasons in Cincinnati before joining the Texans.

"I'm very aware of (the streak) because this is my former team and things like that," Joseph said, per ESPN. "And Andy Dalton's a great quarterback so any time you have a chance to get your hands on some balls against a guy like that. He's having a tremendous year this year. It speaks volumes not just for me personally, but (defensive coordinator) Romeo (Crennell) putting us in great positions the coaching staff alerts you to certain things that you can have a chance to make a play on. It was a great team effort."

The interception was Joseph's first of the season. The 31-year-old has 37 tackles on the year.
