Ebron, selected 10th overall, posted a photo of himself signing the contract with the following message: "Done Deal! I Am Officially a Detroit Lion."
FOX Sports Senior NFL Reporter Mike Garafolo reports the deal is worth $12.2 million over four years with a $7.2 million signing bonus.
Ebron, who had 62 receptions for 973 yards and three touchdowns last season at North Carolina, projects as a hybrid tight end/receiver in the NFL.
Ebron impressed Lions veteran tight end Brandon Pettigrew with his approach during the team's recently completed offseason practice and workout program.
"He's a quick learner," Pettigrew said. "Great route runner. A savvy young player. He's going to make some big plays, there's no doubt about that.
"Everybody sees that. He comes right in, fits right in with the veteran guys. He's going to be a good fit for us."
