Video released of police tackling Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield

Video of the February arrest of Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield by Fayetteville (Arkansas) police on misdemeanor complaints of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and fleeing and resisting arrest was released on Friday.

40/29 News posted dash-cam footage of the arrest released by the police department, and it shows Mayfield attempting to flee and being brought down heavily by officers.

Mayfield issued a public apology for his actions after his arrest.

A 2016 Heisman Trophy finalist, Mayfield threw for 3,950 yards and 40 touchdowns in 2016. He's projected as a late-round draft pick and borderline NFL prospect, but intends to return to Oklahoma for the 2017 season.
