Pacquiao continued to be in control in the ninth round, slowing the pace but not letting Vargas do any damage. He appeared to have figured his foe out.

Vargas, 27, was putting up a brave front in the later rounds, but Pacquiao continued to find the range, landing multiple blows in round 10.

Vargas hit the canvas again in round 11, after being hit with a looping blow from Pacuqiao. It was ruled a slip, not a knockdown but Pacquiao was in command.

He continued to dominate his younger foe in the 12th and final round.

Pacquiao, 37, has a record of 59-6-2; Vargas is 27-2.

Earlier, Pacquiao knocked Vargas down in the second round.
