Oilers trade veteran goalie LaBarbera to Blackhawks

The Edmonton Oilers traded goalie Jason LaBarbera to the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday for future considerations.

LaBarbera will be assigned to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

The 33-year-old LaBarbera appeared in seven games this season with Edmonton, going 1-3-0 with a 3.28 goals-against average. He also was 0-1-1 record with a 1.93 GAA in two games for Oklahoma City in the AHL.

LaBarbera has played 182 NHL games with the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Coyotes and Edmonton. He has a 60-73-19 career record with six shutouts and a 2.86 GAA.
