Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll has been suspended for Saturday night's playoff game at San Jose.

The NHL has suspended Stoll one day after he hit Sharks defenseman Ian White from behind in the opening game of the best-of-seven series. The hit came with 25 seconds to go in the first period Thursday night. White left with an apparent head injury and did not return.

Joe Pavelski scored 14:44 into overtime to give the Sharks a 3-2 victory.
