It only took David Krejci 16 games to best his goal total from last season. The Bruins' center tallied seven goals and 24 assists in 47 games last season. This year, he already has eight goals and 10 assists in 16 games.

Krejci's eighth goal of the year was a highlight-reel tally, as he made Red Wings defenseman Jakub Kindl look foolish as Krejci breezed by him and fired a shot while falling past Detroit netminder Petr Mrazek.

Krejci was ranked 10th in the NHL in goals and eighth in points through 16 games. Krejci is on pace to challenge his career highs in goals (23 in 2011-12) and points (73 in 2008-09) this season. He is also one of the biggest factors in the Bruins emerging as the fourth-strongest offense in the NHL early this season.
