Carolina Hurricanes agree to 3-year deal with prospect Aho

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) The Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with forward Sebastian Aho.

The team announced the terms Monday. The deal will pay the 18-year-old $832,500 at the NHL level or $70,000 in the American Hockey League for each season. Aho also receives a signing bonus of $277,500.

Carolina selected Aho in the second round of the 2015 draft. He played in Finland's top professional league last season, leading Karpat with 45 points in 45 games. He has also represented Finland in several international tournaments and will play for Finland in this fall's World Cup of Hockey.
