The Baltimore Ravens survived a late scare from the Philadelphia Eagles to keep their playoff hopes alive in Week 15.

The Baltimore Ravens can breathe easy after they survived a late surge by the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. The game started with Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz throwing a bad interception on the first drive. Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco made the rookie pay and turned his defense’s big play into a touchdown pass early in the first.

Both teams would kick field goals in the first quarter to put the game at 10-7. Early in the second quarter, the Eagles would score a touchdown when Ryan Mathews punched the ball in from four yards. He also converted the two-point conversion and it put the Eagles up 11-7. Both teams would kick field goals again and it looked as if the game would go to halftime at 14-13, but Flacco had other plans.

He found Steve Smith Sr. for a late touchdown and put his team up 20-14 at halftime. Neither team scored in the third quarterback, but the fourth quarter made up for that. Baltimore kicked field goal and score a touchdown while Philadelphia kicked two field goals and scored a touchdown with four-seconds left.

Wentz took the ball in himself to put the Eagles down one, but with nothing to lose they went for it. Head coach Doug Pederson called his famous slant route in a crucial situation, but the Ravens (and everyone at home) knew it as coming and knocked it down.

The loss will hurt for the Eagles, who are now officially eliminated from the playoffs. But, for the Ravens, the win was huge and they are that much closer to making the playoffs.

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens — Flacco had a bad interception, but he also ended the day with 206 yards and two scores.

C.J. Mosley, Baltimore Ravens — The linebacker had 13 tackles (8 solo) in the game and he also got his hand on Wentz’s two-point conversion pass to win the game.

Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens — Tucker hit both of his extra points and also nailed two field goals in the game. One of them was for 53 yards and gave Tucker an NFL record 10 kicks over 50 yards this season.

The Eagles make the quick turnaround on Thursday Night Football against the New York Giants while the Ravens take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the biggest game of their season.
