Dolphins skip last minicamp practice for Navy Seal training

Published Jun. 18, 2015 8:24 p.m. ET

It seems as if cancelling the last day of mandatory OTAs is the new "it" thing to do. After seeing the Houston Texans, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all cancelled their last OTA session, the Miami Dolphins followed suit. However, the Dolphins opted to still work hard off the practice field as they trained with the Navy Seals.

News of the cancelled practice was first heard about after Dolphins assistant receivers coach Phil McGeoghan tweeted about it.

The Dolphins seem to be stressing off the field activities as they previously held a kickball game this offseason. The players and coaches likely learned much more about themselves as individuals and as a team after partaking in one of the more grueling training sessions out there.
