Chiefs' Santos didn't kick enough field goals to win a weekly award

What does Cairo Santos have to do to win an award around here?

The Chiefs' placekicker nearly broke the NFL's single-game record for made field goals, but still lost AFC Special Teams Player of the Week to Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.

Voters must've weighed quality over quantity. Tucker hit a few long field goals -- including the game-winner -- with ice in his veins.

Still, seven field goals is nothing to sneeze at. Santos outscored most fantasy quarterbacks with that many boots. He came up one kick short of Rob Bironas' historic mark.

He deserves a participation award, at the very least.
