Report: Mavs might still want JaVale McGee

Published Jul. 27, 2015 12:20 p.m. ET

The Dallas Mavericks have already had an extremely busy offseason, snatching up free agents left and right and bringing in some of the league's overlooked prospects who shined at Summer League.

Although this is already a crowded roster, especially after the signing of Samuel Dalembert, the Mavericks might not be done adding pieces yet.

Former Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee could still be on the radar for Dallas, so long as he's healthy.

Here's more from James Herbert at CBSSports.com:

Dalembert, 34, will likely back up Zaza Pachulia. The Mavs also recently signed summer league standouts Maurice Ndour and Jarrid Famous. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, they're on the verge of signing Turkish big man Salah Mejri and are still interested in free agent JaVale McGee. There's no way all of these guys will make the roster, but they could make training camp pretty interesting.
