Report: LaMarcus Aldridge has a new agent

Published Aug. 21, 2015 11:57 a.m. ET

LaMarcus Aldridge is coming off a summer where he was the talk of the entire NBA. The fate of several franchises hung on where he'd sign his next contract.

Now, after inking a four-year, $84 million max deal with the San Antonio Spurs, Aldridge has reportedly found new representation.

According to David Pick, Aldridge went from the Wasserman Media Group to Excel Sports. Arn Tellem, one of the most successful agents in the NBA, recently left WMG to take a front office position with the Detroit Pistons.

This may have influenced Aldridge's decision to leave and join Excel, where super agent Jeff Schwartz is employed. Their long list of clients include Kevin Love, Blake Griffin and Paul Pierce.
