Magic announce 2015 preseason schedule

Published Aug. 18, 2015 1:59 p.m. ET

Basketball is right around the corner, even if it feels like the wait is becoming unbearable. And with the 2015-16 regular season schedule announced last week, there's only one thing left for most teams -- releasing the slate of games they'll play in the preseason.

The Orlando Magic revealed their 2015 preseason schedule on Tuesday, and Orlando has plenty of traveling on its plate, bookended by two home games. Scott Skiles makes his debut as Magic coach on October 3 at home against the Charlotte Hornets. Orlando then faces the Heat and Rockets in two neutral-ish sites -- Louisville, Kentucky, and Hidalgo, Texas -- before taking on the Heat once more ahead of the Magic's trip to Rio de Janeiro to take on Brazil's Flamengo on October 17.

Orlando will then take on the New Orleans Pelicans and host the Memphis Grizzlies to close out the preseason.
