Once we get past free agency and Summer League, the NBA news cycle slows to a predictable crawl. 

This is equally true for the teams themselves, who evidently get just desperate for content as the rest of us.

Witness the Charlotte Hornets, who took to Twitter to try to sell some of their leftover inventory of ugly Christmas sweaters ... in July.

You can't knock the hustle, as they say, and those who grab them at a discount now will be happy they did a short five months from now.
