Damian Lillard on attending Team USA minicamp: 'I don't know why I would go'

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard doesn't sound interested in attending the Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas again this offseason. After being cut from the team last year, Lillard is opting not to go this summer.

Here's more from Des Bieler of the Washington Post:

Lillard was among the final cuts last year before the FIBA World Cup. The two point guards Coach Mike Krzyzewski did elect to keep on that 12-man roster were Derrick Rose, still recovering from knee surgery, and Kyrie Irving.

“I did it the last few summers, and last summer I didn’t make it,” Lillard said Saturday on the Jody Mac Show on CBS Radio, “so I don’t know why I would go.” “If I got cut last summer,” he added, “I don’t think I’m a part of it.”
