Andrelton Simmons has already violated a team rule with the Angels

Kangaroo court strikes again.

When a player changes teams it means a new city, new stadium, new teammates and, maybe most importantly, new team rules -- something Andrelton Simmons learned firsthand.

After spending his entire career with the Atlanta Braves, Simmons was sent to the Los Angeles Angels this offseason, but it's safe to say he hasn't quite gotten the grasp of the rulebook yet.

On Wednesday, according to Jeff Fletcher at the OC Register, the 26-year-old showed up to a pre-workout meeting between the pitchers and catchers. Pretty standard and maybe even admirable -- no reason for him to be there unless he wanted a better understanding of the team and organization.

He did make one mistake, though: he wore shorts instead of a uniform. Whoops!

Simmons must now buy lunch for the team, which is the standard punishment according to Fletcher.

Now we wait to see what the team decides to eat on Simmons' tab -- something tells me they won't take it easy on the new guy.
