Yanks' Robertson leaves with apparent injury

Published May. 29, 2010 5:41 p.m. ET

Yankees right-hander David Robertson has left New York's game against the Cleveland Indians with an apparent injury after facing just three batters in the seventh inning.

Robertson relieved CC Sabathia to start the seventh and hit Trevor Crowe on the right hand with a pitch. After an out and a run-scoring single, Robertson threw one pitch to Jhonny Peralta and catcher Francisco Cervelli went to the mound. He was followed by pitching coach Dave Eiland, who motioned for manager Joe Girardi and a trainer.

Robertson was replaced by Sergio Mitre.

Earlier, Indians starter David Huff was hit in the head by a line drive and taken to a hospital. He had a CT scan that was negative. Huff will remain in the hospital for several hours as a precaution.
