Yankees star shoots the puck

It's no secret Curtis Granderson can play baseball — but the New York Yankees center fielder seems to have some hockey skills, too.

Granderson, who will be a free agent this offseason if he rejects the Yankees' $14.1 million qualifying offer by the Nov. 11 deadline, was in Chicago for Sunday's Blackhawks vs. Calgary Flames game.

During the second intermission, Granderson participated in the "Shoot the Puck" contest in front of the United Center crowd.

Granderson grew up in the Chicago suburbs and attended Thornton Fractional South High School before playing three years at University of Illinois-Chicago.

Sure, the defending champion Blackhawks really don't need him — but the three-time All-Star would be a huge addition to either the Cubs or the White Sox.
