White Sox 7, Diamondbacks 3

While spring training is winding down for most of the Chicago White Sox, it's just heating up for others.
Adam Dunn homered and drove in three runs and contenders for Chicago's final bench spot made statements in the White Sox's 7-3 victory over an Arizona Diamondbacks split squad Friday night.
Dunn hit a two-run shot in the second inning and doubled in a run in the third. Carlos Quentin hit a solo homer in the seventh, his fifth home run of the spring.
Brent Lillibridge, in contention to be Chicago's 25th man, homered to lead off the game and made a diving catch in left field in the second inning, but counterpart Lastings Milledge fired back.
The center fielder gunned down David Winfree at home plate to end the third inning. Milledge then doubled in two runs in the sixth to extend the White Sox lead to 6-3.
Lillibridge is out of options, meaning if he doesn't make the 25-man roster he would be put on waivers and likely get claimed by another team. Milledge came into camp as a non-roster invitee. He played with the Pittsburgh Pirates last year but was not offered a contract this winter.
Manager Ozzie Guillen, absent to attend a wedding, had recently narrowed his search for a backup outfielder down to those two.
Lillibridge finished with two hits, two runs and stole a base. He's hitting just .244 this spring, but has driven in 10 runs.
Milledge has four homers, 12 RBIs and a .320 average.
''They haven't made a decision yet so you have to make some more statements,'' Lillibridge said. ''I'm playing well at the end of spring training. I like where I'm at.''
Barry Enright worked 5 1-3 innings for the Diamondbacks, giving up six runs on nine hits. He had already won a spot in the Arizona starting rotation with a 2.65 ERA in 17 innings heading into the game.
Gavin Floyd threw seven innings for Chicago, the longest outing by any White Sox pitcher this spring. He allowed three runs on eight hits, striking out three.
Floyd has one more start against Winston-Salem on March 30.
''It was nice to give in a good seven,'' he said. ''To be able to do it again, I think that would prepare me a little bit better (for the regular season).''
Winfree had two hits and drove in a run for Arizona. Kelly Johnson tripled in Melvin Mora in the sixth inning.
NOTES: The White Sox acquired minor league RHP Gaby Hernandez from Kansas City for cash Friday. Hernandez was a third-round pick of the New York Mets in 2004. ... Diamondbacks SS Stephen Drew was scratched from the lineup because of lower abdominal soreness. ... White Sox 3B Brent Morel had three hits to raise his spring average to .317.
