Twins recall top OF prospect Arcia from Triple-A

The Minnesota Twins have sent outfielder Oswaldo Arcia back to Triple-A Rochester after a one-game appearance.

The move was made Monday night after an 8-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels, when the 21-year-old singled in his first major league at-bat. He also dropped a routine fly ball in left field for a two-base error.

Arcia filled in for outfielder Wilkin Ramirez, who was reinstated from paternity leave after the game.

Arcia batted .414 with three home runs and eight RBIs in 29 at-bats for Rochester. Arcia, who signed with the Twins out of Venezuela in 2007, is one of the organization's top prospects. He became the third Minnesota player since 2000 to debut before age 22. Francisco Liriano and Joe Mauer were the others.
