Tim Tebow discusses his progress in the Arizona Fall League
New York Mets prospect and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow says that he is “feeling better” and “getting faster” despite his recent struggles at the plate and a knee injury, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin.
Tebow is hitting .156 with one double, two RBI and 13 strikeouts in his 13 games in the Arizona Fall League. As noted by Rubin, Tebow ranks 70th of 73 in the league for batting average.
The Mets signed Tebow after he worked out for 28 of the 30 MLB teams during a showcase on Aug. 30. He last played organized baseball in his junior year in high school.
Tebow is still recovering from a minor knee injury from an awkward slide on Oct. 31.
Tebow has spent time with Mets hitting coach Kevin Long, who lives in the Phoenix area. Former New York Yankees star Reggie Jackson stopped by and shared some tips with Tebow.
