Tigers star Miguel Cabrera leaves game with back injury

DETROIT (AP) Tigers star Miguel Cabrera left Friday night's game against the Chicago White Sox with tightness in his lower back.
Cabrera gingerly advanced from second to third on a single in the seventh inning, and after two pitches, he signaled to the bench that he needed a pinch runner. He was replaced by Andrew Romine, who stayed in the game at first base with the Tigers leading 6-2.
The Tigers announced after the seventh inning that Cabrera would be listed as day-to-day.
