Tigers' Cabrera in lineup, Angels' Pujols out

Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera was back in the lineup with a heavily taped right ankle as the designated hitter Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels.
Cabrera said he hopes to be healthy enough to play third base on Saturday night. He left Thursday's game against Toronto during the second inning with soreness in his ankle. Cabrera hasn't missed a game this season.
Angels first baseman Albert Pujols was not in the lineup in the series opener in Detroit because of an injured right calf.
''It is affecting his stance in the batter's box,'' Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.
Pujols hasn't played since he was taken out Wednesday, in his team-high 121st game, against Boston with tightness in his right calf. He hoped his calf would respond well to a workout, allowing him to play Saturday in the second game of the series.
''That's what I'm shooting for,'' Pujols said.
