Sources: Dodgers kill Lee trade talks

Published Jul. 1, 2012 1:00 a.m. ET

The Dodgers have pulled out of trade talks regarding Carlos Lee, according to sources, who say the Astros slugger's lack of enthusiasm over the potential move drove the Dodgers' decision.

After Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs, Lee said he would talk it over with his wife and ''probably'' have a decision by Sunday.

Lee, who is in the final year of a six-year, $100 million contract, has a limited no-trade clause; the Astros can trade him to 15 teams without his permission.

The 36-year-old is hitting .285 with five homers and 29 RBI this season.
