The Baltimore Orioles are playing it safe with Jonathan Schoop.

According to MLB.com, Schoop could rejoin the O's immediately, but the team prefers to wait and have him take his time.

"He'll still come up here and have to get his feet wet," Showalter told MLB.com. "We're not going to get in a hurry with him. Obviously, Ryan Flaherty is playing pretty well, so we're not going to push the envelope."

Schoop has played in just nine games for the big league club this season, totaling seven hits in 27 at-bats.
