Schwarber: 'I'm grateful for the opportunity'

Following Sunday's game, Cubs prospect Kyle Schwarber was sent back to the minors.

While his stay was brief, Schwarber knew he'd eventually go back down and was simply happy that he got the chance to make his debut.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity and to be able to learn from these guys and get my feet wet," Schwarber told Cubs.com. "I know what it takes to play a Major League baseball game and I know the preparation."

Schwarber went 8-for-22 with six RBIs in six games while he was with the Cubs. He also hit his first career homer.
