Royals' Guthrie sets records in blowout loss to Yankees

It was a working holiday for Jeremy Guthrie and the Kansas City Royals, who opened their series with the New York Yankees on Monday. It was also a day Guthrie would like to go back and get a redo on.
Guthrie didn’t get an out in the second inning, and when he finally was yanked, he had given up 11 runs to Yankees batters including four home runs, setting a record that stood for almost a century:
