Royals DH Morales drops appeals, serves 1-game suspension

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Royals designated hitter Kendrys Morales has dropped the appeal of his one-game suspension and will sit out Wednesday night against the White Sox.
Morales was penalized by Major League Baseball for returning to the field after being ejected Aug. 2 at Tampa Bay.
Morales can play Friday night when Kansas City plays at Minnesota.
