Royals and Tigers delayed 23 minutes due to light failure

DETROIT (AP) The start of Friday's game between the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals was delayed 23 minutes because of a light-tower failure.

When the game was scheduled to start at 7:08 p.m., a bank of lights above appeared to be stuck in stand-by mode, with only the top and bottom of rows lit.
