The Colorado Rockies have optioned infielder Josh Rutledge to Triple-A Colorado Springs, with outfielder Michael Cuddyer (kuh-DY'-ur) potentially coming off the disabled list Friday.

Rutledge opened the season on the Rockies' roster and batted .242 with three doubles, five home runs and 13 RBIs in 43 games.

Cuddyer has been sidelined by an inflamed cervical disk. The 34-year-old Cuddyer was among the league leaders with a .319 batting average to go along with seven home runs and 23 RBIs when he went on the DL.

The Rockies beat Arizona 4-1 on Wednesday to take two of three from the Diamondbacks.
