Report: Harvey 'embarrassed' by piece

He’s arguably the toast of New York City, but Mets ace Matt Harvey is learning that isn’t always a good thing.

The 24-year-old phenom recently said he was “embarrassed” by the way he was portrayed in a Men’s Journal article.

“I read the article and was obviously embarrassed by it," Harvey said. "The way I was portrayed is not who I am and not the person I am,” he said to New York Times reporter Andrew Keh.

The Men’s Journal piece addressed Harvey’s personal life, calling Derek Jeter a “model” for his ability to meet women without the press knowing.

Harvey, who has been linked to model Anne Vyalitsyna, is 8-2 this season with a 2.11 ERA and 164 strikeouts.
