Reds place Marlon Byrd on DL, make two other roster moves

Prior to Wednesday's game the Reds had to shakeup the roster a little bit.
Marlon Byrd went on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured wrist, Donald Lutz was released and Ivan De Jesus Jr. was called up, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
"I got sent down to Triple-A and continued to play the way I did in spring training helped me a little bit more," De Jesus said. "I showed them I'm not frustrated because I got sent down and didn't make the team. Just keep doing what I'm doing and control what I can control."
De Jesus made a solid impression on Reds manager Bryan Price in Spring Training and his help the Reds, who are playing with a short bench right now.
"He just has a very good approach," Price said. "He stays in the middle of the diamond. He's a guy that puts the ball in play. He's a high contact guy. He's a great guy to hit and run with. He can hit behind the runner. He can move runners. He can bunt. He plays all of the infield positions. He spent a lot of time playing first and third base in Louisville and he primarily had been a shortstop/second baseman. We may get him out in left field as well just as an option for us."
