The Boston Red Sox have acquired right-hander Burke Badenhop from the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league lefty Luis Ortega.
Badenhop was 2-3 with a 3.47 ERA in 63 relief appearances for Milwaukee this season. He is 18-20 in his career with three saves and a 3.98 ERA in 280 games for the Marlins, Rays and Brewers.
Ortega is a 20-year-old lefty who spent last season in rookie ball. He went 3-3 with a 2.45 ERA.
