BALTIMORE (AP) The Baltimore Orioles' game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night has been postponed by rain.

A makeup date was not immediately announced. The teams next play in Baltimore on June 24-26.

The Orioles are vying to match the best start in their history, 5-0 in 1970. They are the only remaining unbeaten team in the majors.

The postponement came in the midst of miserable, wet weather.

After the Orioles took batting practice, the grounds crew put on the tarp. After the rain stopped, the game was scheduled to begin at 7:40 p.m.

But it started raining again even harder, and the game was called shortly before 8 p.m.

The teams conclude the abbreviated two-game series on Sunday.
