Rangers take donations for plant explosion victims

The Texas Rangers will hold a blood drive and accept donations this weekend for victims of the fertilizer plant explosion near Waco.

The Rangers said Thursday that the relief effort will take place during their home series against Seattle.

As many as 15 people were killed and more than 160 others were injured Wednesday night in the accident in the farm town of West, Texas.

The Rangers said fans can bring essential items all weekend for the victims and that cash donations also will be accepted. The team's food truck will head to West to make food and water donations.
