Rangers' Gentry back in lineup, but quickly out

Published Jun. 23, 2012 6:08 p.m. ET

Rangers center fielder Craig Gentry left Saturday's game against Colorado after aggravating his sore right ankle.

Gentry was back in the starting lineup after rolling his ankle trying to beat out a bunt in the fifth inning Friday night. Gentry finished that game and started Saturday.

But it was clear when Gentry batted in the second inning that he still didn't feel right. After fouling off a ball, he gingerly walked around the plate a couple of times before resuming his at-bat and popping out.

Gentry played the field in the third but was out of the game an inning later. Brandon Snyder took over the No. 9 spot in the batting order and played right field, while Nelson Cruz moved to left and Josh Hamilton switched to center.
