BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) Pirates star center fielder Andrew McCutchen says he wants to finish his career in Pittsburgh.

McCutchen and the rest of the position players will participate in the team's first full workout of spring training on Tuesday. McCutchen has two years left on his current deal, with a club option for 2018. McCutchen says he hasn't thought much about what will happen when his contract is up and is more focused on getting the Pirates back to the postseason for a fourth straight year.

McCutchen said he has some issues with the current playoff format. The Pirates have been eliminated in the one-game wild-card playoff each of the last two years. McCutchen said he would like to see the wild card expand to a three-game format to make things more ''equal.''
