Pirates' Hurdle ejected in the seventh

Published May. 14, 2011 7:28 p.m. ET

Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle was ejected by first base umpire Chris Conroy in the seventh inning of a game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Pirates were trailing 2-1 on Saturday with runners on first and second when Neil Walker grounded sharply to second baseman Rickie Weeks. He tossed to shortstop Craig Counsell to force the runner out at second, and his throw to first beat Walker in a very close play.

Hurdle ran out to argue the call and was ejected.
