Phillies SS Rollins out vs Dodgers

Published Jun. 6, 2011 6:48 p.m. ET

Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins is out again with a bruised right knee.

Rollins was not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Los Angeles. Manager Charlie Manuel and general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. say Rollins has soreness and swelling and should miss another game or two.

Rollins fouled a ball off his right knee against Pittsburgh on Saturday and was taken out of the game by the bottom of the third.

Also, Amaro says reliever Brad Lidge felt discomfort in his right elbow during a bullpen session Monday morning. Lidge was in Clearwater, Fla., and will return to Philadelphia to meet with team doctor Michael Ciccotti on Tuesday.

Lidge has been sidelined all season because of shoulder issues.
