The Baltimore Orioles on Monday spoke with former major-league manager Buck Showalter and are zeroing in on him as their choice to become manager.

According to sources, Showalter is "very intrigued" with the Baltimore job and that the O's would want him to take the reins of the team immediately.

Showalter's a former manager for the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Rangers.

The O's also have interviewed Eric Wedge (twice) and Rick Dempsey.
