Ordonez back in Tigers' starting lineup

Published Jun. 13, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

Magglio Ordonez is back in the lineup for the Detroit Tigers.

Ordonez is set to bat sixth and play right field for Detroit in Monday night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays after being activated from the disabled list. He has been out since May 10 because of weakness in his surgically repaired right ankle.

Ordonez has struggled to recover after breaking his ankle sliding into home plate last July. He enters Monday's contest hitting .172 with one home run and five RBIs in 26 games this season.

Detroit re-signed Ordonez to a $10 million, one-year deal in December.
